When Skinny Tan, a natural ingredient self-tanning brand, was looking for a more competitively priced SMS marketing company they approached Reach Interactive. Here's what happened.

We have a database of customers who have opted in to receiving text messages from Skinny Tan and we send one to two a month to these lists to let them know when there is a very big offer or new product launch. Reach Interactive have been really helpful. The Reach Interactive platform is really easy to use and the team at Reach respond quickly and always go over and above to help make the whole process from uploading lists to managing data and of course sending text messages as simple as possible. They are also really well priced.

Originally I was looking for a platform in order to send a big Black Friday campaign at the lowest possible cost. I was using another text message platform which was also really great but they weren't flexible with offering me a good price for the black Friday offers so I spoke to Reach instead and both their text price and the requirement of how many to send to get the best price was the most competitive. It was only afterwards that I found out the platform and the team were also as brilliant as a more expensive service.

The Impact

We send text messages to small segments of the database a few times a week so every individual person does not receive more than one or at most two per month. By using them in this way we confidently get a 3x return on investment on the cost of sending the message. Also, texting customers helps us reach people on our database who have requested to hear about offers but may not pay as much to emails as they would to a text. I would recommend SMS marketing to others as it is definitely another revenue stream that you should use to contact customers who want to hear from you from time to time. About once to twice a week is beneficial!
