Anyone that works in marketing is likely to have come across Gary Vaynerchuk’s work at some point in their career. For anyone that has not, the easiest advice would be to Google him. He is the chairman of VaynerX, which has many sub-brands such as VaynerMedia, Gallery Media Group, ONE37pm and he is also the co-founder of Empathy Wines. He is a high-profile pubic speaker and a regular angel investor (Uber, Venmo, Twitter and more). So, it’s safe to say that he has his fingers in a lot of pies and that there are surely a lot of people in the background that are helping him run all of these companies. However, to give him credit, he is always one step ahead when it comes to marketing both himself and his companies.

We are not surprised to see that Gary Vee has been seen showing his appreciation towards SMS marketing lately. He recently posted a video on LinkedIn that discusses some of the benefits of using SMS marketing and how it has affected him personally. Gary stated that texting has opened up significantly for businesses over the last 3 or so years and that it provides businesses with an alternative to social media that is personal and one to one. Alongside this, some statistics are also mentioned in his video. Gary Vee states that he has texted hundreds of thousands of people recently and that he has a 98% open rate, which is typical for the industry and much higher than email, which is around 20.81% . Furthermore, the campaigns that he sent had an engagement rate of 90%, which confidently highlights just how powerful SMS marketing can be when done correctly. You can check out the video here:
